Inside every sofa or armchair, three hidden elements exist, the frame, foaming and springs, and only a proper combination of them 3, make our creations as comfortable and durable as they are. In addition, each member of SofaLeather family is individually responsible for every finished piece.
The Frame
In most of our models, excepting rustics that use Ash-tree hardwood, we use vaporised Beech and Poplar kiln dried woods in the construction of an extra-solid, rigid and durable frame. SofaLeather frames are scientifically tested to provide right seating for most of user, observing elements as medium size of people and right lumbar position. Such important part may not be left anybody outside to make, in SofaLeather we construct our own frames, this is the only way to ensure regular top quality, allowing us to lifetime* guarantee entire frames. The Springs Below every seat, SofaLeather carefully install sets of 'No-Sag' springs, these are unmisshapen two dimensional 'S' steel frames, fastened to the top of the front and run from the front to the back every few cm apart, with a minimum of 5 wires per seat. These wires are hardly fastened to the front and to the back with our exclusive last generation PVC rail to avoid future troublesome noise of the system, and have also lifetime* guarantee.

Foaming
Every part of an armchair or sofa, requires different type of foam density, according to the function is it for. Seats requires right proportion both of rigidity and softness in order to respectively warrant both durability and comfort, that's why in SofaLeather we use 30 Kg/m3 density high resilience foam, that combined with springs provide a real soft seating and luxurious feel.. Backs don't have to support so much weight, but must ergonomically couple body, that's why in SofaLeather we use 25 Kg/m3 extra-soft foam, combined in some models with rigid density foam for lumbar lean. Models as Cervantes,  Vic, Luxor, Paris use 2 way hollow fibre. Arms foam must be hard enough to hold pass of time, and don't have to support big weight, so we use 25 Kg/m3 density foam. In addition, all frames are covered with a level of 2 cm foam, which both bring more comfort and avoid direct contact of leather with wood.
